The Gujarat Titans have assembled one of the most intimidating bowling attacks in the TATA IPL 2025. With an array of fiery pacers and wily spinners, we’ve built a squad that promises to test the mettle of every batter in the league. This bowling unit is designed to dominate, and we’re thrilled to see them in action in the 2025 season.

Our first big move at the auction was the signing of Kagiso Rabada, and what a statement it was! Rabada is one of the most accomplished fast bowlers in modern cricket, with a stellar IPL record to back his reputation. He has played 80 matches in the league and taken a staggering 117 wickets. Rabada’s yorkers are legendary, and fans still remember his searing delivery to Andre Russell a few seasons ago. He was the Purple Cap winner in 2020, picking up an astonishing 30 wickets.

Rabada first caught the cricketing world’s attention during the 2014 Under-19 World Cup, where he took 6/25 against Australia in the semi-final and emerged as South Africa’s highest wicket-taker in the tournament. His brilliance didn’t stop there. He became the second bowler ever to take a hat-trick on ODI debut and remains the youngest South African bowler to claim ten wickets in a Test match. With his speed, skill, and experience, Rabada is set to be a key player for us this season.

Mohammed Siraj brings reliability and firepower to our pace attack. He’s been one of the standout bowlers in recent years, delivering impactful performances both for India and in the IPL. Siraj was instrumental in India’s victory at the 2023 Asia Cup, where his jaw-dropping spell of 6/21 in the final helped skittle Sri Lanka out for just 50 runs. He carried that momentum into the ODI World Cup, producing another stunning spell against Sri Lanka by taking three wickets and helping dismiss them for just 55 runs.

In IPL 2023, Siraj’s best figures of 4/21 came against Punjab Kings in a spell of searing pace and swing. His knack for picking up early wickets and maintaining pressure in the death overs makes him a lethal weapon in our arsenal.

A tall and athletic pacer, Prasidh Krishna has the pace and bounce to trouble the best batters in the world. In his 51 IPL matches, he has taken 49 wickets, showcasing his potential. On his ODI debut, he made an immediate impact by taking 4/51, the best bowling figures by an Indian on debut at the time.

Recently, he impressed for India A against Australia A, earning a spot in India’s squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. With renewed fitness and determination, Prasidh is ready to make a mark for Gujarat Titans.

Ishant Sharma’s vast experience adds depth and balance to our pace attack. With over a decade of international cricket under his belt, Ishant has seen it all. He has played 110 IPL matches, the highlight being a memorable spell of 5/12 against Kochi Tuskers Kerala in 2011. One of his career highlights came at Lord’s in 2014 when he took 7/74 to help India secure a historic win against England. Ishant’s ability to deliver under pressure will be invaluable in the high-stakes environment of the IPL.

Gerald Coetzee is another exciting addition to our squad. The South African pacer was a standout performer in the 2023 ODI World Cup, finishing as his team’s highest wicket-taker with 20 wickets. Coetzee impressed in the SA20 league as well, taking 17 wickets in just nine games. Known for his fiery spells and trademark headband, he’s ready to light up the IPL stage. He had a decent season with Mumbai Indians in 2024, picking up 13 wickets in 10 matches, and we’re eager to see him bowl in Ahmedabad this year.

Our spin department is equally formidable, led by the incomparable Rashid Khan. Rashid is arguably one of the greatest spinners of his generation, capable of turning games single-handedly. With 27 wickets in IPL 2023, including a hat-trick against Kolkata Knight Riders, Rashid continues to redefine the role of a spinner in T20 cricket.

His exploits aren’t limited to bowling—he smashed a breathtaking 79 off 32 balls against Mumbai Indians last season to showcase his batting prowess. Rashid’s legacy includes incredible feats like a spell of 5/3 in a T20I against Ireland and a seven-wicket haul in an ODI against the West Indies.

Washington Sundar has been in stellar form recently, showcasing his immense potential as a key all-rounder. In the recent Test series against New Zealand, Washington stood out as a beacon of hope amidst challenging performances from the rest of the team. In the second Test, he delivered a phenomenal spell, claiming 7 wickets in the first innings, followed by 4 more in the second innings. Despite his exceptional efforts, the match ultimately slipped away. Undeterred, Sundar continued to impress, picking up another 4 wickets in the first innings of the third Test, further underlining his value as a reliable bowler.

In the IPL, Washington has played 60 matches and he has consistently delivered with the ball, boasting best bowling figures of 3/16. Beyond his bowling strength, Sundar is a handy batter who can contribute crucial runs when needed, making him a versatile and invaluable asset to any team.

Our spin attack is further boosted by players of incredibly high calibre such as Sai Kishore, Manav Suthar, and Jayant Yadav.

This bowling line-up is a dream for any captain. With a mix of skill, experience, and talent, we’re confident that our bowling attack will give opponents sleepless nights. This team is built to win, and with such a strong bowling attack, we believe the 2025 season will be another memorable chapter in the Gujarat Titans’ journey.
