Our talismanic captain Shubman Gill etched his name in history books as he became the first player to complete 1000 IPL runs at our fortress, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Gill reached the incredible milestone during our IPL 2025 match against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday.

Opening the innings, our run-machine Gill scored 38 off 27 balls to achieve the feat of 1000 IPL runs at our home in just 20 innings. His quick-fire knock was laced with four fours and one six.

Gill has now accumulated 1,024 runs at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium, including three centuries and four fifties.

Former West Indies cricketer Gayle currently holds the record, having reached the landmark in 19 innings at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Having made his IPL debut in 2018, Gill has already cemented his legacy in the league. He has amassed 3,287 runs in 105 matches at an average of 37.78 and a strike rate of 136.33. He has slammed four centuries and 20 fifties in his IPL career.

Gill also played a pivotal role in guiding our Titans to our maiden IPL title in 2022, and later followed it up with a record-breaking 2023 season where he scored 890 runs in just 17 matches with four tons.

Since November 2023, Shubman Gill has been our leader and will be aiming to guide us to our second IPL title in the 2025 season.
