Picked up for Rs 9 Crore in the 2022 Auction, Tewatia has delivered on that investment in style. In his debut season, he scored 217 runs in 16 innings at a strike rate of 147.61, often turning the game in the lower order when we needed it most.

One of his most iconic moments came in the opening game of IPL 2022, where, with 12 runs required off just 2 balls against Lucknow Super Giants, Tewatia hit two consecutive sixes to seal the win. He proved his composure in clutch moments, especially in his first season with us.

Tewatia’s consistency continued throughout the season. The 2024 season was another strong chapter in Tewatia’s IPL career, with 188 runs at a strike rate of 145.73. From his quickfire 22 against Mumbai Indians to an unbeaten 36* off 18 balls against Punjab Kings, his consistency in high-pressure situations was evident. He also made valuable contributions in low-scoring encounters, like his 35 runs off 21 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
