It’s time for the second T20 World Cup of the year and this time, all eyes will be on the Indian women’s cricket team as they chase their first ever title.

Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading India’s charge at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, where India will begin their campaign against New Zealand on October 4. The Women in Blue will also face defending champions Australia, Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the group stages.

The ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup will take place in Dubai and Sharjah from October 3 to 20. India will play three of their four matches in Dubai, including the opener against New Zealand. Their last group match against Australia will be in Sharjah.

India’s campaign ended on an agonising note in the last two editions. In front of a record-breaking crowd at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, India lost the 2020 edition final to hosts Australia. Three years later in South Africa, the Indian unit fell short marginally in the semi-finals and once again, the Aussies stood in the way.

However, the women’s team's growth over the last few years only instils more confidence among fans that the glory days are right around the corner.

Harmanpreet & Co are also entering the tournament on the back of a terrific record in 2024. They have played 16 T20Is this year and won 11 of them.

India are fielding one of their most experienced squads for this edition of the tournament. A good number of the squad members have featured in the last two editions and will be keen on erasing those memories with a trophy in this edition.

We at the Gujarat Titans extend our best wishes to the team with the hope to crowd our streets in celebration for the second time this year.
