We extended our spectacular run in IPL 2025 with a dominant 39-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens on Monday.

Put in to bat, captain Shubman Gill led from the front with 90 off just 55 balls, while consistent Sai Sudharsan slammed a 36-ball 52 to power us to 198/3 in our 20 overs

Later, our bowlers delivered a clinical bowling performance to restrict the defending champions to 159/8 in their allotted overs.

Prasidh ‘Skiddy’ Krishna and Rashid Khan were our standout bowlers with two wickets each.

Having registered our sixth victory, we consolidated our top spot in IPL 2025 with 12 points from eight games.

Captain Gill, Sai-Su light up Eden

Our consistent opening batter, Sai Sudharsan, continued his magnificent run in IPL 2025 as he reclaimed the Orange Cap in the second over.

Meanwhile, Sai-Su and captain Shubman Gill played some exquisite shots on a slow pitch at the Eden Gardens. Our stylish opening duo attacked the KKR bowlers as we were 45/0 at the end of the powerplay.

Gill and Sai-Su continued to slam the KKR bowlers to all parts of the ground to provide us with a brilliant start.

Our outstanding 114-run opening stand came to an end in the 13th over as Sudharsan departed for 52 (36).

Batting at No.3, Buttler soon smashed Andre Russell for a hat-trick of boundaries to continue the momentum.

Buttler, Gill power us to 198

Buttler and Gill continued the onslaught as our swashbuckling pair clobbered the KKR bowlers to put us in a great position.

However, our skipper missed his well-deserved century by 10 runs after he fell for 90 (55) in the 18th over. His dazzling knock was laced with 10 fours and three maximums.

Despite losing Rahul Tewatia in the penultimate over, Buttler and Shahrukh Khan smacked Vaibhav Arora for 18 runs in the final over to guide us to 198/3.

Siraj, Rashid bag early wickets

Defending 198, our bowling spearhead, Mohammed Siraj, got us off to a great start as he trapped Rahmanullah Gurbaz in front of the stumps in the first over.

Our spin wizard, Rashid Khan, soon joined the party as he removed Sunil Narine to reduce KKR to 43/2 in the sixth over.

Sai-Ki, Washi struck vital blows

In the middle overs, our spinners bowled brilliantly as Sai Kishore dismissed Venkatesh Iyer, while Washington Sundar got the massive wicket of opposition captain Ajinkya Rahane as KKR were struggling at 91/4 in the 13th over.
