Gujarat Titans inch closer towards reaching the play-offs and on Sunday, we could get within touching distance! With seven wins in 10 matches, we currently occupy the top spot and Friday’s win continued our 100% record in away matches.

It was a night to remember in Jaipur, with our Titans upping the ante and registering our biggest win in a run chase (in terms of balls remaining). The Afghan spin duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad registered five wickets among themselves to restrict the Rajasthan Royals to only118 runs. Skipper Hardik Pandya’s dazzling cameo ensured we picked up a special win.

All our encounters so far with Lucknow Super Giants have produced some memorable moments and the fixture in Lucknow was a real boost for our campaign this season. Not to forget, it will be a special match for the Pandya household, with Hardik and Krunal facing each other as captains for the first time. 

Peak into the opponent’s camp

KL Rahul has been ruled out of the tournament for Lucknow Super Giants and Krunal Pandya has taken over as captain. The side have also announced Karun Nair as their replacement. LSG’s overseas brigade have been in good form and it’ll be a fantastic match-up when they face our bowling attack. 

Titan to watch out for

Hardik Pandya was our leading run-scorer last season, but he did not get the ideal start individually with the bat. However, he has turned the tide in his favour over the last few matches, registering some clutch performances. After a half-century that nearly took us over the line against Delhi Capitals, Pandya was at his vintage best against RR, where he remained unbeaten on 39 off only 15 deliveries. Not to forget, he has consistently provided crucial breakthroughs with the new ball as well.

Mohammad Shami currently holds the Purple Cap with 18 wickets and Rashid Khan is on level terms having taken exactly as many wickets. 

Rashid Khan has picked up 34 wickets in the middle overs (7-15 overs) since TATA IPL 2021, the most for any bowler in this time period.
