Sai Sudharsan and Manav Suthar have been in terrific form recently, and their performances have earned them a place in India A’s squad for their upcoming tour of Australia. The team will play two First-Class matches against Australia A in Mackay and Melbourne. After that, they will face off in a three-day practice game against the Senior Indian team, which will serve as preparation for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.

The India A squad, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, includes some of India's top domestic talent. Abhimanyu Easwaran will serve as Gaikwad's deputy, while Sai Sudharsan and Manav Suthar have both been named in the squad due to their excellent records and form.

The wicket-keeping duties will be shared between Ishan Kishan, who has earned his spot back in the national setup after strong performances in domestic cricket, and Abishek Porel. The middle order will feature Devdutt Padikkal, Ricky Bhui, and Baba Indrajith, providing stability with their experience. In addition, fast-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, who recently made his debut for India, has been included in the squad. The bowling attack will be spearheaded by Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Navdeep Saini, Yash Dayal, Manav Suthar, and Tanush Kotian.

Manav Suthar has had a stellar few months in domestic cricket. In the Duleep Trophy, he shone with a remarkable 7-wicket haul, taking 7 for 49 runs while playing for India C against India D. His performances continued to impress in the Ranji Trophy, where he took 2 wickets in both innings for Rajasthan against Puducherry, followed by a 4-wicket haul in the next game against Himachal Pradesh. Suthar has also contributed with the bat when needed, scoring 82 runs for India C in the Duleep Trophy. His ability to impact games with both bat and ball makes him a valuable asset for India A.

Sai Sudharsan has been outstanding with the bat across formats and tournaments. In his last Ranji Trophy outing for Tamil Nadu, he scored a brilliant 213 runs, which included 25 boundaries and a six, helping his team post a massive total of 674. He had also scored 82 runs against Saurashtra earlier in the season. He also stood out in his recent county stint for eventual champs Surrey, which included his maiden County championship  century. In the Duleep Trophy, he scored 111 runs for India A, further showcasing his run-scoring ability.

His rich vein of form began during the IPL 2024, where he was our highest run-scorer with 527 runs, including a century against Chennai Super Kings. He continued this momentum in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, smashing an unbeaten 123* for Lyca Kovai Kings to help them win Qualifier 1.

Earlier this year, both Sudharsan and Suthar were part of the India A squad that played against the England Lions. Sudharsan shone with scores of 97 and 117 in the first and third match respectively, while Manav Suthar took a 4-wicket haul in the first game. Given their performances across formats, it’s no surprise that they’ve been called up once again for India A's important tour of Australia.
