Shahrukh Khan is one of those rare T20 cricketers with the ability to hit the ball incredibly hard, and his power makes him a valuable asset to our team. With his knack for finishing innings, Shahrukh is an ideal player to hold onto as we head into a new season.

In the 2024 IPL, Shahrukh Khan joined us from Punjab Kings and scored 127 runs in 7 matches. His standout moment came against RCB, where he blasted 58 off 30 balls, including 3 fours and 5 sixes, stepping up in a high-pressure situation.

Shahrukh also made a notable contribution in a tight chase against Rajasthan Royals, where he scored 14 runs from just 8 balls in a game where we were chasing 197. He maintained his form when we faced RCB again, contributing a solid 37 runs off 24 balls before being run out, showing that he could consistently bring the fireworks when the team needed it most.

Shahrukh’s journey has been defined by standout performances from a young age. In the 2014 Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy, he scored 624 runs and took 18 wickets, showcasing his all-round abilities. His rise continued with Tamil Nadu, where he made an impact with a quick-fire 20 off 8 balls on debut. In the 2018 Tamil Nadu Premier League, he scored 325 runs in nine matches, solidifying his reputation as a big-hitter.

In the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Shahrukh showcased his explosive power with 88 runs at a strike rate of 220 across four innings. His final innings of that tournament was particularly memorable, as he blasted 18 runs off 7 balls with two fours and a six to lead Tamil Nadu to victory. The following season, he cemented his reputation as a clutch player by hitting a last-ball six to win the title for Tamil Nadu when they needed five runs off the final ball. Post his heroics, Shahrukh was added to the Indian squad for the ODI series against West Indies.

Shahrukh Khan’s ability to deliver big hits in crucial moments makes him an asset to any team, and we’re excited to have him back with us for another season. We look forward to seeing him channel his finishing skills for us again in the IPL 2025.
