Mark your calendars, everyone! The much-anticipated TATA IPL 2025 Mega Auction is almost here, and this year, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will host the action on November 24 and 25. With 204 spots up for grabs, it’s shaping up to be one of the most thrilling auctions yet.

A remarkable 1,574 players have registered for this mega event. Of these, 1,165 are Indian players, while 409 are international talents from across the globe. The player pool features 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 from associate nations, underscoring the fierce competition for selection this year. This list will be trimmed down before the auction once teams share their player preferences.

Leading the international lineup, South Africa has 91 players registered, followed by Australia and England with 52 each. New Zealand contributes 39 players, with the West Indies adding 33. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan together bring in 58 players (29 each), and notably, Italy has one representative, along with 13 players from Bangladesh. There are 48 capped Indian players and 272 capped overseas stars. Additionally, there are 152 uncapped Indian players and 3 uncapped overseas players who have previously participated in IPL seasons.

As a franchise, we’ve already made some strategic decisions ahead of the auction, retaining five players: Shubman Gill, Rashid Khan, Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan. This gives us a strong foundation, while still leaving ample room to strengthen our roster. With a remaining budget of 69 crores, we aim to add at least 13 more players, with a maximum of 25 spots available. Additionally, with 7 overseas slots open, the pool of international players offers exciting possibilities for further talent.

This two-day event in Jeddah promises to be a cricketing spectacle that fans won’t want to miss. With the countdown underway, we’re eagerly anticipating the start of the bidding to discover which talents will join our squad for the upcoming season. Stay tuned for updates as the big day approaches!
