After a high-scoring encounter against Punjab Kings, we are ready and raring to go as we host Mumbai Indians in our second IPL 2025 fixture at our home on Saturday.

Our boys put up a spirited fight in front of our passionate crowd before we succumbed to a hard-fought defeat against the Kings in our season opener on Wednesday.

Chasing a mammoth target of 244, our stylish southpaw Sai Sudharsan stole the limelight after he slammed 74 off just 41 balls which kept us in the hunt. His magnificent knock was laced with five fours and six maximums.

Apart from Sai-Su, our swashbuckling wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler played an impressive knock on his GT debut. Batting at No.3, Jos smashed a 33-ball 54, which included four fours and two sixes.

Later on in our chase, our dashing Caribbean left-hander Sherfane Rutherford almost pulled off a heist after he hammered 46 runs off just 28 balls.

Earlier, Sai Kishore produced a brilliant bowling spell of 3/30 on a batting-friendly track at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Peek into the opponent’s camp

Mumbai Indians started their IPL 2025 campaign with a four-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

Ahead of their second game, they will see the return of their captain Hardik Pandya, who missed their season opener as he was serving a one-match suspension for an over-rate offence.

However, the visitors will still miss the services of their bowling spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, due to a lower back injury.

Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians head-to-head record

We hold a superior head-to-head record against Mumbai Indians in the IPL, having won three of the five matches.

Furthermore, we have defeated MI in all the previous three meetings at our home, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
