Biography:

Gerald Coetzee, a fiery right-arm fast bowler from South Africa, has quickly established himself as a promising talent in world cricket. He began his journey with a strong List A debut for Free State in the 2018-19 CSA Provincial One Day Challenge and represented South Africa Under-19 at the 2020 ICC U-19 World Cup. In 2021, Coetzee joined Rajasthan Royals as a replacement for Liam Livingstone.

Coetzee was South Africa’s standout performer in the 2023 ODI World Cup, claiming 20 wickets in 8 matches. He also impressed in the inaugural SA20 with 17 wickets in 9 games. After making his Test debut against the West Indies in 2023, Coetzee continued his IPL journey with Mumbai Indians in 2024. He was acquired by Gujarat Titans in the 2025 TATA IPL Auction, adding further strength to their fast-bowling unit.
