Jos Buttler, England’s explosive limited-overs captain, is renowned for his exceptional power-hitting and match-winning ability. He holds the record for England’s fastest ODI century, smashing a 46-ball hundred against Pakistan in 2015, and also owns the top three fastest ODI centuries by an England batter.
In the IPL, Buttler began his journey with Mumbai Indians before moving to Rajasthan Royals in 2018, where he truly flourished. He became the second batter in IPL history to score five consecutive fifties and later registered his first IPL century in 2021. That same year, he also scored his first T20I century during the T20 World Cup.
Buttler’s most remarkable IPL season came in 2022, when he piled up 863 runs, including four centuries, equalling the record for the most centuries in a single IPL season. He finished with the Orange Cap and was named the Most Valuable Player, while also playing a key role in England’s T20 World Cup triumph that year.
At the IPL 2025 Auction, Buttler was picked up by the Gujarat Titans for ₹15.75 crore. He scored 538 runs with five half-centuries at a strike rate of 163.03, helping the Titans reach the knockout stage. Now, he’s all set to bring more fireworks for the Titans in IPL 2026.
Off the field, Buttler is known as a devoted family man with a calm, composed personality. His articulate and thoughtful nature makes him a respected voice in the dressing room and a natural leader on and off the field.
