Biography:

Luke Wood is a left-arm fast bowler known for his ability to swing the ball back into right-handers, making him a dangerous option with the new ball. Seeking more regular first-team opportunities, Wood joined Lancashire at the end of the 2019 season after spending several years with Nottinghamshire.

His first season with Lancashire was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but he still impressed during the T20 Blast, playing an important role in helping the side reach the semi-finals. In 2021, Wood showcased his all-round capabilities by swinging the red ball effectively and even scoring a Championship century from No. 8 against Kent.

Wood has also enjoyed success in the T20 Blast, winning the title in consecutive years with two different counties - first with Nottinghamshire in their treble-winning 2017 season, and again with Worcestershire while on loan in 2018.

With his left-arm pace, swing bowling, and valuable experience in T20 cricket, Luke Wood joins the Gujarat Titans squad for the IPL 2026 season, adding depth and variety to the Titans’ pace attack.
