Mohammed Siraj’s journey to the Indian cricket team is a story of grit, perseverance, and relentless hard work. Rising from humble beginnings, he made his First-Class debut in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy and soon became Hyderabad’s leading wicket-taker the following season, claiming 41 wickets in 9 matches.
Siraj continued his rise in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he topped the charts with 23 wickets in seven matches. His IPL journey began with Sunrisers Hyderabad, before he joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2018, where he made history in 2020 by becoming the first bowler to bowl two maiden overs in a single IPL match.
On the international stage, Siraj made a huge impact during the 2020–21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, picking up 13 wickets in three Tests, the most by any Indian in the series. His sensational 6/21 in the 2023 Asia Cup final was instrumental in India’s victory, while he also claimed 14 wickets in the 2023 ODI World Cup, playing a key role in India’s campaign. A double T20 World Cup champion, Siraj joined the Gujarat Titans at the IPL 2025 Auction, recording his best IPL figures of 4/17 against Sunrisers Hyderabad that season.
Off the field, Siraj is known for being extremely welcoming, kind, and down to earth. A playful and jolly personality, he also wears his heart on his sleeve and is known to be deeply emotional and fully committed to everything he does. A passionate football fan, Siraj brings both energy and warmth to the Titans dressing room as he gears up for IPL 2026.
