Hailing from Rohtak, Haryana, Nishant Sindhu grew up in a sporting household as the son of a former state-level boxer. Inspired by India’s 2011 World Cup triumph and MS Dhoni’s leadership, he chose cricket as his path and began training at the Shri Ram Narain Cricket Academy.
Sindhu quickly made a name for himself in age-group cricket. In the 2017 Shruv Pandove Tournament, he delivered a stunning all-round performance with 290 runs and 24 wickets. He followed it up with another standout campaign in the 2018–19 Vijay Merchant Trophy, scoring 572 runs and picking up 23 wickets, helping Haryana reach the final.
On the global stage, Nishant impressed in the 2022 ICC Under-19 World Cup, contributing 140 runs and 6 wickets, underlining his value as a dependable all-rounder.
Recognizing his potential, Gujarat Titans secured him in the TATA IPL 2025 auction and have retained him for the TATA IPL 2026 season, backing his all-round abilities and long-term promise within the Titans setup. Known for his calm personality and friendly nature, Sindhu is also a favourite among the younger fans around the team, especially the kids of fellow players, thanks to his playful and easygoing presence in the camp.
