Nishant Sindhu, from Rohtak, Haryana, is the son of a former state-level boxer. Inspired by India’s 2011 World Cup victory and MS Dhoni’s leadership, he chose cricket as his passion. Beginning his journey at Shri Ram Narain Cricket Academy, he made a mark in the 2017 Shruv Pandove Tournament with 290 runs and 24 wickets. In the 2018-19 Vijay Merchant Trophy, he scored 572 runs and took 23 wickets, leading Haryana to the final.
Nishant impressed in the 2022 Under-19 World Cup, scoring 140 runs and taking 6 wickets. His all-round performance caught the attention of Gujarat Titans, who secured him in the TATA IPL 2025 Auction.
