Prasidh Krishna, or "Skiddy" as he's fondly known, is here to hit the deck at the Royals. The young right-arm quick from Karnataka can consistently bowl at speeds of over 140 kmph and his tall stature helps generate extra bounce even on docile tracks. After starting as a net bowler for RCB, Prasidh burst onto the IPL scene in 2018, when he was named as a replacement for Kamlesh Nagarkoti at Kolkata Knight Riders. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands, picking 10 wickets in just 7 games. After four seasons with KKR, he was bought by the Royals in 2022 for a record price. Together with Trent Boult, Prasidh formed one of the deadliest new-ball pairs of the season and regularly used his length-ball variations to trouble the batters. He finished what was a fruitful season for the team and himself with 19 wickets, the second-most by any Royals bowler, and 3 maidens - the joint-highest in the tournament. Prasidh made his international debut in an ODI in 2021, and impressed with 4/54 - the best figures by an Indian debutant in ODIs.
