Biography:

Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans’ current skipper, has been a standout performer since his breakout in the 2018 U-19 World Cup, where he scored 372 runs and starred with a century in the semi-final against Pakistan. He made his India debut in 2019, but his defining moment came in the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a crucial 91 at the Gabba, sealing a historic series win.

Gill’s records speak for themselves: the youngest to score an ODI double century (208* vs NZ in 2023), India’s highest T20I score (126*), and the fastest to 2000 ODI runs. In the IPL, he powered Gujarat Titans to their maiden title in 2022, scored 890 runs in 2023 with 3 centuries, and hit the IPL’s 100th ton in 2024. Named Titans captain in 2024, Gill has also led India in T20Is, showcasing his growing stature in world cricket.
